Eosinophilic Lesions
Occasionally some cats can develop ulcers around the mouth.
After biopsies are taken to confirm the diagnosis, most cats
respond well to flea control and other measures.
The condition
is also known as Rodent Ulcer – but is very different from the
human condition of the same name.
The condition can also occur in dogs (typically the Siberian Husky), where it is often found on the sides and base of the tongue
Histology is important to rule out more worrying diagnoses.
