Pet Smile Month & Veterinary Practice
September 2008 is Pet Smile Month.
The applications to take part have flooded in. Over 1500 practices have signed up already.
Late applications will be processed and added to the Find-a-Vet search engine, however late applications will not receive the Dentistry guides and other support material. Quite simply - we have run out!
Late registrants can check the "Notes" area of their practices record (see the Edit Practice Details section) to see if they will receive the Vet Packs. However they can also download much of the material from the website at the Vet Info Packs section. Please don't hesitate to Contact Us if you experience difficulties.
Veterinary Practices will all have received at least two invitations to participate in PSM 2008. In addition to the two mailings in early August, NVS, Centaur and Dunlops have all kindly sent out invitations to practices on their delivery schedules.
If (for any reason) your practice has not received an invitation - please download it.
The aim of Pet Smile Month is to increase awareness of the importance of dental disease and the deleterious effects it has on our patients' health. With 80% of the Nation's pets needing dental treatment it is a scandal that so many pets are left suffering. Actively targeting them - both for treatment and prevention - is the only way forward.
